We use only a titanium foot or base when we insert a Dermal anchor. Titanium anchors are invisible to hospital imaging machines and do not have to be removed for hospital tests. Dermal anchors can have much smaller stones than regular labret posts. Dermal anchors are not difficult to remove. We can and have removed dermal anchors easily and without leaving a scar.
We are very proud of our highly skilled staff. Dermal anchors require professional training and a high level of skill. The untrained piercer simply cannot properly insert a dermal anchor. If done properly a dermal anchor never grows out! There are various lengths of dermal anchor posts. The area of the body where the anchor is inserted dertmines the the length of the post used.
Dermal anchors can have much smaller jewelry tops than do labret posts and are easily changed by a skilled professional.

As you can see we changed the top of one anchor to purple from silver and removed the other leaving no scar. See the added ear jewelry to her ear after we put in two anchors but before we removed the second anchor, showing that we did in fact remove it and not take a photo after one then take a second picture after inserting the second anchor.
