Topical Lidocaine Cream
We use Emla patches or a Lidocain Benzocain Mixture and a lidocain spray for mucus membranes such as the tongue and inside the lips or anywhere inside the mouth. These products work by being absorbed through the epidermis or top  layer of dead skin and into the dermis where the nerves are. Or in the case of the tongue, inside the lip or anywhere inside the mouth they are absorbed rapidly through the mucus membranes.  These products are effective and widely used in hospitals and dentist offices to prevent or minimize swelling  (anti inflammatory) and to lessen pain.
Emla patches are routinely placed on children in hospitals worldwide before putting an IV in because they prevent swelling and pain from the IV.
Before giving an injection dentists almost always put  lidocain on the gum so that the patient does not feel the needle.
We make no charge for applying any of these proven, valuable anti inflammatory, pain  and stress relieving products.

Health Canada and the FDA have approved of the wide clinical use of lidocain, benzocain and Emla to reduce swelling and pain.
