At some piercing places customers have to pay extra for Salt Spray aftercare and are also told to avoid chlorine!

Any Salt is a compound of Sodium and Chlorine!  That's why it's chemical name is "Sodium Chloride".
As salt can not be separated from chlorine it is totally impossible to both avoid chlorine and use a salt spray.
If you soak in salt you inevitably also soak in chlorine. We have no extra charges for aftercare products you don't need.

We do all piercing with a surgical  needle, ( Piercing guns are DANGEROUS. )
Below are  the kind of lumps that can form as a result of the ear or nose being pierced with a gun. Such lumps are often permanent.

The lump on the inside of the nose above which was caused by being pierced with a gun has made it impossible to put nose jewelry on that side of her nose. If either of these piercings had been done in the U.K. the piercer could be fined!
Piercing guns cannot be sterilized.   One of our piercers James is from England where two years training and or a government license is required in order be a piercer. James has given Lizz training to the rigorous standards required  in theU.K.  In the U.K. piercing guns are illegal   except for the lobe and outer edge of the ear where there is no cartilage. No other part of the body or ear  can legally be pierced with a gun.  Guns smash jewelry through with such force that body fluids can micro splatter as far as two feet(61cm),  contaminating even  non-disposable parts of guns with disposable heads. The piercer and piercing area also may get sprayed and become contaminated, risking the spread of diseases like H.I.V. and Hepatitis

States such as Oregon have made  piercing guns completely illegal for any kind of piercing. Health Canada in the great Canadian tradition used to  have a guidline on their website that "recommended" that piercing guns not be used. In the hope that some establishments will forgo some profit, be good citizens and follow the recomendation. (It costs about $2.00 to pierce a client with a gun.)
Piercing guns were originally designed for tagging cattle, they  force blunt jewellery through tissue, tearing the tissue and can micro spray blood as it does. This delays healing with an increased risk of infection. The tearing that guns inflict  can shatter cartilage and cause permanent lumps especially in the upper ear or nose.
From time to time we get requests to do some very dangerous piercing, such as the eyelid or horizontal tongue
The tongue has two arteries that are deeper than the two visible blue veins seen at the bottom of the tongue, and these arteries can not be seen. A horizontal tongue piercing carries the risk of puncturing these arteries and the blood may spurt as far as two feet.  However great the risk we can find establishments irresponsible  enough or
ignorant enough of human anatomy to perform these very dangerous procedures.
Just because a so called professional is willing to do a piercing, it is not necessarily safe. If you want an unusual piercing there may be a good reason why it's unusual. Do some research first.                                                                                                        Piercing Aftercare
