KEEP IT CLEAN
- After you remove the bandage, wash your tattoo with lukewarm running water and unscented soap, use paper towel and pat gently to dry. Make sure that anything that comes into contact with your tattoo is clean. To prevent infection never touch the tattoo unless you have washed your hands first. Bacteria is everywhere, on surfaces, door handles etc. and can be carried from one area of the body to another on hands and under fingernails. Bacteria can pass from person to person the same way. Keep your new tattoo away from pets, animal fur harbours millions of bacteria including tetanus.
MOISTURIZE
- With clean hands apply tattoo aftercare product 2 to 3 times a day for one or two weeks.
SCABBING- If the tattoo is scabbing leave it alone don't scratch or pick it. After a few days you may notice some peeling and possibly white scabbing. (The white scabbing may cause your tattoo to look faded; don’t worry the colour will look bright again when it is healed. If the tattoo starts to itch slap it or apply some of the Tattoo Aftercare product to help soothe the area. The scab may soften when showering, be careful not rub it off, don’t use a washcloth or loofah. Pat (do not rub) the area with a CLEAN paper towel to dry it and apply moisturizer.
PROTECT FROM THE SUN - Do not expose your new tattoo to the sun until it is fully healed. The sun can fade tattoos and it should always be protected with a minimum 30 SPF sun block. Follow these instructions to keep your tattoo vibrant for many years.
